PUZZLE BOOKS
Guess Who? and My Dog Didn’t Do It! are interactive detective books that put the reader in the investigator’s seat. Each book contains six cases, and every case comes with a set of clues. Using these clues, readers work through a line-up of suspects, eliminating those who don’t fit until just one image remains: the culprit. It’s a satisfying mix of logic, observation and fun, and the format invites readers to go back, double-check a clue and enjoy the thrill of getting it right.
Behind the puzzles is a team effort. Our author wrote the cases and crafted the clues so that each mystery can be solved fairly and cleverly. Our illustrators then brought the suspects and scenes to life, producing hundreds of individual pieces of spot art, with each book featuring an array of charming line art. Because readers rely on the images to eliminate suspects, every detail had to be distinct and accurate. Finally, our design team pulled the words and artwork together into polished, easy-to-navigate books that are as enjoyable to look at as they are to solve.
